
Apprentice Parts Person, Mining Equipment

- Complete a three-year apprenticeship consisting of on-the-job training and technical classroom instruction.
- Administers and provides trade knowledge as it relates to parts and components for both internal and external customers.
- Manage and dispense parts inventory for Heavy Duty Equipment.
- Provide assistance to internal and external customers, providing advice on required parts, companion parts, available specials and exposure to our full product line.
- Handling incoming parts inquiries from internal and external customers via phone, email or in person.
- Determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Recommending alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
- Accurately processing customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
- Maintaining accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers.
- Performing weekly cycle counts as well as monthly and yearly inventory counts.
- Apply core standards to returns; classify cores according to Liebherr programs.
- Participate in the daily warehouse operations including shipping/receiving, warehouse stocking and management
- Coordinate logistic support for interbranch and international orders
- Interpret component and parts diagrams when troubleshooting parts requests and placing orders
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- You are currently or you will be registering for a Parts Technician program at a registered Trade School.
- You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
- Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite
- You are highly detail and process oriented with an affinity for order
- You are comfortable interpreting graphical depictions and data lists in a mechanical environment
- You are comfortable solving problems in a constant improvement environment
