Senior Accountant, Hospitality & Retail

- Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 annually
- Please note, this role will be fully in-office at the client's Calgary, Alberta office

- Prepare monthly financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the Controller with quarterly consolidation and annual budgeting processes
- Oversee core accounting processes including bank reconciliations, corporate card reconciliations, and GST/HST returns
- Partner with the Controller and Senior Manager, Accounting on special projects and strategic initiatives
- Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
- CPA designation or actively working toward completion
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP an asset
- Background in hospitality or retail accounting strongly preferred
- Experience in complex organizations, ideally within Indigenous organizations or Northern environments, considered an asset
- Strong adaptability, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
