Truck Driver - Class 1

- Must be licensed and able to safely operate a Class 1 truck.
- Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
- Ability to work extended hours and irregular days with irregular breaks.
- Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records, and DOT certifications.
- Complete daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Must be willing to travel and work out of town occasionally (hotels/LOA provided) when required.
- Other duties as required.
- Class 1 license with a clean drivers abstract
- Lowbed experience preferred
- Pass an MVR test
- Experience operating a Class 1 truck in construction areas is preferred but not required
- Experience with moving equipment and assets
- Willingness to work in a team environment and support co‑workers or supervisors by assisting with other duties as required
- Ability to safely operate trucks and perform daily inspections.
- Some mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to back up efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of road construction procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable safety legislation and the ability to accurately complete required documentation.
- Ability to identify safety hazards.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- Willing to work in field and in all weather conditions.
- Willing to work overtime (may include weekends) during the busy season (April to October) and on call as necessary.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
- This is a safety sensitive position; selected candidate must pass drug and alcohol testing as required.
