As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!MissionTerus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our Highway Crew, based out of Crescent Valley, BC. This position requires frequent travel to support highway projects across the region.Main Responsibilities

Must be licensed and able to safely operate a Class 1 truck.
Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
Ability to work extended hours and irregular days with irregular breaks.
Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records, and DOT certifications.
Complete daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle.
Complete all other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Must be willing to travel and work out of town occasionally (hotels/LOA provided) when required.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Class 1 license with a clean drivers abstract
Lowbed experience preferred
Pass an MVR test
Experience operating a Class 1 truck in construction areas is preferred but not required
Experience with moving equipment and assets
Willingness to work in a team environment and support co‑workers or supervisors by assisting with other duties as required

Technical Requirements

Ability to safely operate trucks and perform daily inspections.
Some mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to back up efficiently and safely.
Knowledge of road construction procedures.
Knowledge of applicable safety legislation and the ability to accurately complete required documentation.
Ability to identify safety hazards.

Working Conditions

Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
Willing to work in field and in all weather conditions.
Willing to work overtime (may include weekends) during the busy season (April to October) and on call as necessary.
Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
This is a safety sensitive position; selected candidate must pass drug and alcohol testing as required.

This is a unionized position with an anticipated wage of $38.73 CAD per hour.
