Job DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?As a Technical Lead – Windows Server Operations you will play a key role in providing 24x7 front line support to Windows Server Operating Systems, Windows clustering, VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, and Server Hardware. Responsibilities include triaging complex incidents, fulfill client requests, performing infrastructure changes, and ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met. The ideal candidate is passionate about server operating systems, hardware, virtualization, automation and security.What will you do?Triage and resolve complex issues relating to server operating systems, clustering, virtualization and hardware using industry standard best practices and documented security standardsIdentify and prioritize events, incidents and requestsManage client expectations while meeting operational SLAs, technical SLOsExecute server changes to support the safety, security and functionality of the server estateWork closely with partner infrastructure teams and external vendors to restore services and determine root cause of issuesDevelop runbook automation to streamline complex tasksDevelop documentation on technical processes and troubleshootingWork in a fast paced and constantly evolving technical environmentWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have:3-5 years of Windows Server support3-5 years of experience working with server hardwareStrong understanding of virtualization and clusteringStrong understanding of Active Directory and Group PolicyExperience developing scripting and runbook automationKnowledge of OSI model and client-server modelKnowledge of networking components & concepts such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SSL, TLSStrong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on collaboration amongst support teams and clientsExcellent problem solving skills coupled with the ability to drive issues toward resolutionNice-to-have:Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, AnsibleProfessional certifications, e.g. MCSA, MCSE, VCPUnderstanding of ITIL, SRE frameworks​What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
