- Own mechanical design of plant changes through the MOC process.
- Analyze maintenance history and failure data to prioritize issues and opportunities.
- Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies and tactics for fixed and rotating equipment.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations.
- Conduct equipment assessments during maintenance and inspection opportunities for repair quality, fitness for service, and life expectancy evaluation.
- Specify pressure equipment repairs
- Develop equipment specifications and review equipment purchases and installations to ensure that equipment is built to recognized practices
- Work with Site Trades Groups, Planners, Engineers, Inspectors, and Projects Groups
- Support department long-term maintenance plan and asset management goals
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years experience in an industrial environment
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA is required
- Knowledge of pressure vessel and piping codes: ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, ASME PCC-1, ASME PCC-2
- Familiarity with API standards: API 579, API 571, API 510, API 570, API 650
- Understanding of Alberta regulatory requirements for pressure equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience with PV Elite, CodeCalc, CAESAR, and Power BI is an asset
