As the Underwriting Section Manager, Ontario, Atlantic and Western Regions (OAW), you will draw on your ability to make quality decisions and optimize work processes, you will be managing operational activities in Individual Underwriting. You are responsible for overseeing your service offer and developing and implementing the action plan to attain them. With an ability to develop talent and drive results, you can effectively manage people and performance, produce reports, and ensure member / client satisfaction. You will promote Desjardins Group's cooperative values. You will be a role model in applying the new organization's principles, and approach and communicate changes in a positive and engaging way. More specifically, you will be required to :Support management in the development of an underwriting team aligned with the strategic priorities of the business sector and Desjardins GroupSupport the action plan by managing individual and team performance. What you bring to the tableBachelor's degree in a related fieldA minimum of 7 years of relevant experience including 2 years of management experiencePlease note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be consideredIndividual underwriting experienceHolds a CLU designationStrong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
