SUMMARY OF TASKSSaputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a 4th Class Power Engineer for our Dartmouth Milk Plant. Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining / monitoring and repairing production equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitoring Boilers
  • Repair and maintain production equipment, both processing and packaging
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and breakdowns
  • Work with scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Work Order system
  • Responsible for mechanical overhaul, shop machines and tools
  • Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS * Must possess a 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket
  • Industrial mechanic (millwright) is considered a strong asset
  • Experience in a food processing facility, as well as experience with automatic controls/PLC’s would be an asset
  • Candidates must be strong independent individuals while possessing the ability to function within a highly integrated team environment
  • Previous production experience is an asset
  • Experience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipment
  • Demonstrated solid multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Safety Focused
  • Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Proven communication and inter-personal skills
  • Should exhibit initiative, positive attitude, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record
  • Schedule - Full Time Rotating 12 Hour Shifts - Evenings and Weekends
  • Salary Range - $40.25 Start Rate
