Monitoring and managing support functions to ensure optimal service. Maintaining high performance levels for service-related processes. Taking ownership ofescalations, coordinating with resolution parties, and establishing effective communication with stakeholders. Ensuring the department is adhering to policies and procedures set by the organization. ABOUT THE ROLE· Oversee the day-to day operations of the IT department.· Analyzing existing systems and making recommendations for upgrades and improvements.· Communication and adhering to organizational procedures, policies, and goals.· Monitoring queues and being the point of escalation to ensure timely resolution of inquiries.· Manage frontline operations and systems according to best practices ensuring all infrastructure is running at optimal levels.· Determining project requirements, developing schedules for the team, delegating tasks to ensure projects are completed to standard.· Train and mentor new and existing team members.· Manage department performance by tracking KPI's, clearly communication expectations, providing continuous feedback, recognition, and conducting performance improvement plans where required.· Optimize system performance through continual measurement, reporting and analysis of systems.· Ensure maximum uptime of all systems by auditing monitoring and logging solutions.· Identifying risks and communicating findings and contingency plans with key stakeholders.· Infrastructure, network, development, and operations team and take an active role in continuous improvements, innovation, and knowledge sharing across teams.· Implement improvements to process to leverage the infrastructure and applications for greater efficiencies.· Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.· Be available for emergency support outside of normal working hours, if necessary.· Other duties as assigned.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES· Follow established company policies and procedures.· Provide professional customer service and employee support.· Maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.· Participate in meetings and all training, as required.· Willingness to travel as required.ABOUT YOU· University or post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or related discipline along with technological/digital accreditation.· ITIL Certification (an asset).· Excellent communication both written and verbal.· Ability to translate identify technology solutions for business requirements.· Outstanding Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.· Ability to think strategically and create strategic solutions with a keen eye for emerging technology trends and the future of innovation.· Capability to self-learn new software applications, enterprise systems and integration points.· Reliable, self-motivated, self-disciplined.· Capability of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously.· Valid Alberta driver license.· Industry related training and certification as required.EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a mid to senior level IT focused role.
  • Demonstrated and in-dept knowledge of technology services that include but are not limited to: Office 365, SaaS application management, SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki, server, network, and system administration.
  • Experience with VoIP solutions.
  • Knowledge of some Cybersecurity Solutions and areas.
  • Methods of Cybersecurity risk analysis.
  • Architecture concepts and techniques of systems and networks, operating systems and associated programming languages.
  • Knowledge of main techniques for evaluating systems security.
  • Automotive experience is an asset.
