This role is responsible for performing repairs on class 6,7, and 8 vehicles, updating the Shop Foreman if technical assistance is required, and making warranty decisions.   • Competitive base hourly wage $45.40 (Journeyman).

Primary Job FunctionsThe Commercial Body Technician trouble shoots, diagnoses, repairs and maintains our customer's OEM class 6,7,8 vehicles in our body shop and replaces damaged structures and body parts, and interior and exterior finishes. This position works as part of a team with co-workers, body shop managers, and outside vendors to ensure professional quality detail and care for customers.
  • Diagnose and repair body damages to fiberglass and suspension components.
  • Specialize in surface preparation, sheet metal work, refinishing.
  • Light mechanical and suspension experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
  • Proficient with keyboarding and comprehensive report writing.
Qualifications
  • Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
  • BC Red Seal Body Technician trade ticket
  • Must have own tools.
  • Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment.
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
