- Provides strategic oversight and planning for laboratory services
- Manages larger, more complex budgets and resource allocation across multiple areas
- Oversee multiple laboratory departments and teams
- Develops and implements high-level laboratory policies, strategies, and long-term operational plans
- Mentors and develop Laboratory Managers and other senior staff
- Lead major laboratory projects and initiatives (e.g., new technology implementation, facility expansion)
- Ensure overall laboratory performance meets organizational goals and regulatory requirements across all managed areas
- Evaluates and facilitates the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, or services
- Manages relationships with key vendors, service providers, or strategic partners
- Analyzes performance data to identify strategic trends and areas for significant operational improvement or investment
- Performs other duties as required
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7 to 10 years of relevant analytical laboratory experience, with proven success in strategic planning, compliance, and mentoring managers
- Expert working knowledge of the mining and minerals industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage people.
- Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- A sense of diplomacy and networking skills are essential to build relationships with external clients as well as key internal personnel.
- Excellent customer service, client support, and business service consulting skills.
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.

- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
