
Lead, Labor Relations Business Parter

- Provide advice and coaching to executives and managers in the resolution of their human resources management issues, as well as in the development of their management skills ;
- Carry out HR interventions adapted to business needs and the human aspects of operational issues;
- Provide advice and expertise on working conditions and labor relations;
- Work in close collaboration with your expert colleagues in the HR department to provide support to your customer in staffing, compensation, training and organizational development;
- Act as a change agent to support managers in the various organizational transformations they are implementing;
- Implement various initiatives to improve HR measures, practices and policies;
- Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreement;
- Handle grievance procedures in a timely and effective manner to ensure speedy resolution of employee problems or concerns;
- Participate in the Labor Relations Committee;
- Participate in the Health and Safety Committee;
- WSIB Management and workplace accommodations.
- University Degree (Industrial Relations other related program);
- CHRP Designation an asset;
- 7-10 years solid HR/Labour Relations experience in a unionized environment;
- Experience in a manufacturing/aircraft maintenance environment is an asset;
- In depth knowledge of the Canada’s Labour Code, Human Rights Act and Employment Equity Act;
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills;
- Proven problem identification and problem solving skills;
- Excellent organizational and record keeping skills;
- Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel);
- Knowledge of HR Systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, SuccessFactors) an asset;
- Traveling 20% of the time;
- Bilingual in French and English an asset.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
