Adecco, in partnership with our client, is currently hiring a full-time Site Superintendent to join our client's construction team in Calgary, AB. In this role you will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership and day-to-day management of construction sites and site personnel. This role oversees the coordination of trades, materials, and resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Working closely with the Project Management team, the Site Superintendent fosters an engaged, accountable workforce while enforcing health, safety, and quality standards across the site. If this describes you, apply today!Pay Rate: $130K-$150K/annuallyLocation: Calgary, ABJob type: Permanent | Full-timeResponsibilities:Serve as the site safety leader, responsible for implementing and enforcing Traugott's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies with all employees and subcontractors on siteProvide daily supervision and coordination of trades to ensure efficient and safe site operationsEnsure all work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, applicable building codes, and quality standardsDrive the construction schedule in collaboration with the project team, ensuring milestones and project completion targets are achievedPlan and manage manpower levels, material requirements, and equipment needs to ensure resources are available as requiredLead project meetings with owners, architects, consultants, engineers, internal teams, and government authorities to support ongoing project progressCollaborate closely with trade partners and consultants to resolve issues and maintain alignmentOversee project reporting to accurately track site progress, inspections, events, and key activitiesMaintain detailed daily site reports documenting progress, inspections, and relevant site activitiesPerform additional related duties as required to support project successQualifications:5-10 years of construction experience as a Superintendent with a General ContractorProven experience delivering ground-up commercial retail construction projectsJourneyman Carpenter or related trade certification, with extensive hands-on experience using construction toolsConstruction-related degree or diploma (e.g., Construction Management, CET, Engineering) considered an assetEquivalent combination of work experience and technical training in an industry-related trade or certification programIn-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protection practices applicable to standard construction processesStrong understanding of current construction methods, including construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project management principlesDemonstrated ability to lead safe work practices in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality, schedule, and budgetExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage multiple project stakeholders and identify effective solutionsProven ability to anticipate constructability challenges in complex projects and develop practical solutions within construction plans and schedulesProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with familiarity using scheduling softwareValid provincial driver's license, maintained in good standingMust be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
