With the recent opening of the Markham, Ontario office, CDM Smith is committed to significant local growth to provide water project planning, design and construction management services to meet the growing demand of clients in the GTA and Ontario.As a member of the Markham office team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's mission by serving as project engineer, process engineer and/or task lead for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. Specific activities will include:Serving as project engineer on water and wastewater projects in the GTA and other municipalities in Ontario, responsible for investigations, operational troubleshooting, analysis, process engineering design, technology assessment, and leading preparation of technical memoranda and reports.Serving as process engineer to contribute to process and/or process mechanical and/or hydraulic design and supporting construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.Collaborating with the Ontario Client Service Leader and corporate sales and marketing team members to provide input into proposal scope and budget preparation and liaising with clients to promote business development, reputation and relationships with municipal clients for water sector work in the GTA and OntarioParticipating in professional societies relevant to the industryCollaborating with multi-discipline team members to gather, consolidate and coordinate technical information to support projects and proposalsSupervising, providing technical guidance to, and mentoring of engineering and technical staff to enhance our water services capabilities in OntarioProviding project technical support for projects in Ontario or for other CDM Smith offices in North America.Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key clients.GroupNCCEmployment TypeLocalMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.Professional engineering (PE) license.7 years of related experience.Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
