- Reviewing and populating supplier QN submittals in SAP.
- Reviewing and rejecting (turn backs) supplier QN entry sheets.
- Facilitating MRB engineering turnback to supplier for additional information.
- Supported meetings with Collins MRB engineering with Collins suppliers.
- Advising other Collins team members on the MRB process.
- Working with Collins Supplier Quality on Supplier Defects.
- Working with Collins Procurement on Supplier Defects.
- Working with Collins Program Management and Program Quality on Customer Concerns.
- Training other Quality team members on the QN process
- Reviewing and concurring Collins MRB engineering QN dispositions.
- Submitting MRB engineering Consultations to Gulfstream.
- Processing Gulfstream approvals (DRDIs) of the Consultations from Gulfstream and forwarding them to Collins MRB engineering to complete the disposition on the QN.
- Process GAC turns back to Collins. (MRB QA and/or MRB engineering.)
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience is required.
- University degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Product Design or Stress Analysis, Material Technology preferred).
- Related work experience in a Design and Manufacturing environment (Aerospace or Automotive preferred).
- ASQ "Certified Quality Engineer" certification an asset.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings / CATIA Model and math data including geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Working knowledge of statistical techniques.
- Strong technical background in CNC machining and NADCAP special processes.
- Proficient with RED "X" or similar root cause analyzing tools, SPC, Six Sigma techniques, Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA and DOE.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
- Sound computer skills. Knowledge of Teamcenter, SAP and open for learning / adopting new type of software environment.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver critical mission in multi-task/ fast-paced team environment.
- Successful candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
