Oracle Simphony POS Expert – Advisory Consultant
Experience: 8–10 years of hands on Oracle Simphony POS experience
Engagement Type: Contract / Advisory
Role Summary: The client is seeking an experienced Oracle Simphony expert to provide an independent assessment and expert advisory on the current Simphony deployment, cost structure, issue ownership, and support model. The role will support leadership and franchise stakeholders by delivering fact based insights and a clear path to a healthy, cost effective, and accelerated deployment.Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Health Review
o Assess overall health of the Oracle Simphony environment (architecture, configuration, rollout approach)
o Identify key risks, issues, and improvement areas
o Recommend practical solutions to stabilize and optimize deployment
  • Cost & Deployment Analysis
o Review deployment and support costs across franchises
o Provide expert opinion on high deployment costs and FZ to FZ variances
o Benchmark costs against comparable large QSR rollouts (e.g., BK)
  • Issue Ownership Assessment
o Analyze recurring issues and determine responsibility (Oracle vs. install/implementation partner)
o Clarify accountability and improve issue triage and escalation processes
  • Support Model Review
o Evaluate the current support model (including Cognizant)
o Assess effectiveness, SLAs, and alignment with business and franchise needs
o Recommend improvements to support structure and governance
  • Franchise & Leadership Advisory
o Provide expert input to help leadership communicate clearly with franchisees
o Support fact based discussions on cost, stability, and deployment challenges
  • Accelerated Deployment Plan
o Define an actionable roadmap to achieve a healthy, scalable Simphony deployment
o Recommend standardization, governance, and partner alignment actionsRequired Skills & Experience
  • 8–10 years of experience with Oracle Simphony POS
  • Strong knowledge of Simphony architecture, rollout, and store deployment models
  • Experience supporting large scale, multi franchise QSR or retail environments
  • Proven ability to work with Oracle, system integrators, and support partners
  • Strong stakeholder communication and executive level advisory skills
  • Ability to act as a neutral, independent expert
