Position: Training Specialist / Trainer (Public Safety / First Responder Systems)
Location: Ontario (Onsite - Province-wide Travel Required)
Duration: 500 Business DaysResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver a province-wide training strategy and rollout plan for operational and first responder environmentsProvide training to technical and non-technical users across OntarioCreate training materials, user guides, and documentation, preferably for healthcare environmentsDevelop and manage training project plans and schedulesPlan and manage complex province-wide training programsDeliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on system trainingSupport training initiatives related to PSRN (Public Safety Radio Network)Coordinate with large project teams and stakeholdersEnsure training quality, consistency, and effectivenessTravel frequently within Ontario to support training deliveryExperience and Skill Set RequirementsTraining Experience (40%)Experience developing and delivering province/nation-wide training strategies5+ years of experience as a Trainer (Land Ambulance Dispatch, or Paramedic Services preferred)Experience training technical and non-technical usersExperience creating training materials and user documentationExperience managing training schedules and project plansProven ability to manage complex province-wide schedulesExperience working on the PSRN projectTechnical Experience (35%)Experience with Public Safety equipment systems, including Public Safety Radio NetworkExperience with telecom and dispatch systemsAnalytic and Communication / General Skills (20%)Experience designing and delivering training materialsKnowledge of training platforms and systemsKnowledge of radio/telephone systems, GIS, spatial mapping, and AVLStrong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skillsExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skillsAbility to communicate with all organizational levelsStrong teamwork and deadline management skillsValid Ontario G-Class driver's license (or equivalent)Ability to travel frequently for extended periodsExperience working with large project teamsIndustry Experience (5%)Experience delivering training in 24x7 critical environmentsExperience in land ambulance sector (asset)Knowledge of Public Safety (Police, Ambulance, Fire)Knowledge of Emergency Health Services or Healthcare (asset)
