Development and ConstructionThis is a great opportunity for an Intermediate Estimator to join a high-profile company working on large projects in the commercial, infrastructure and residential sectors.Our client is a leader in the industry as a general contractor with large projects in the infrastructure, commercial and residential sectors. They have progressively grown and are working on projects throughout Canada and have a great reputation in the industry.The Estimator role will report to the Chief Estimator and be involved in the estimation process. This will include cost analysis, project scheduling, take-offs, pricing with subcontractors and sub-trades, and final cost estimations with the project.This candidate will have the following aspects;
- Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Construction
- 3+ years' experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Experience working in the commercial, residential and infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take-off procedures, sub-trade procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures
- Experience on estimates over $100 Million and comfortable with executing estimates at $50 Million independently
- Excellent knowledge of internal software estimate programs
- Professional presentation and communication skills
