- Read and interpret work guidelines and procedures, plans, schematic sketches and technical drawings.
- Perform modification, repair, assembly, alignment, and installation work of non-mechanical components for the non-simulated section (back of simulator).
- Perform assembly, adjustment and installation work for simulator’s mechanical, electromechanical and hydraulic components.
- Perform the preliminary manufacturing and assembly work required for installing a visual system; the preparatory work on a visual system mirror; the assembly, alignment and installation of a mirror retainer system; the installation of various structural components of a visual system; the installation of various optical components of a visual system, including installing and adjusting the mirror; the detection of flaws and imperfections on all installed parts.
- Be familiar with and apply concepts related to the properties of the materials used.
- Use measuring instruments, assembly tools and the following cutting and shaping machine tools: band saw, manual and hydraulic shears and profiling bender.
- Install fasteners and rivets based on the requirements specified on drawings, schematics and in work procedures.
- Produce rolled and embossed parts.
- Professional Study Diploma in Aircraft Sheet Metal or Aircraft Structural Assembly. Any other equivalent combination of the required qualifications will be considered.
- A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
- Be familiar with the spot welding procedure.
- Be familiar with precision standards as well as occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.
- Functional French is required.
- Flexible to work evening or night shifts.
