
Lamination Machine Operator - Evening Shift

- Set up and operate Laminating Machines according to company procedures and guidelines.
- Manages pre-run testing of the material to ensure the correct coding weights and bond strength are applied
- Job Order interpretation - uses & runs the proper amount of material/footage to the job order for production
- Perform all required quality checks prior to production
- Apply proper adhesive and wind rolls according to specs.
- Load and unload material from the laminators/trucks as needed, using defined equipment
- Install/remove laminator sleeves as required for each production order.
- Correctly build up production orders and doctor blade assemblies
- Perform daily and periodic preventative maintenance duties specified for assigned machines/equipment.
- Maintain daily cleanliness of machines/equipment and workplace as per GMP & SQF
- Report Quality Issues & Food Safety Violations to Production Manager for analysis and remedy
- Enter data into Microsoft Dynamics Floor Shop Module
- Follow the production schedule & prepare for production at the end of each day for the following day
- Performs other duties as assigned/needed - Turns on auxiliary and other equipment as needed
- Willingness to be trained on alternate production machines such as slitting, pouch, and printing
- 1+ years of experience in set up, running & cleaning lamination machine
- Mechanical & mathematical skills: Ability to read rulers, micrometer & gauges, equipment testing
- Computer literacy - complete production related documentation on both computer & paper forms
- Good judgment, troubleshooting & decision making skills in regards to Safety and Quality
