Location: Montreal, QuebecWhat you will be doing:Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical estimates for industrial, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects.Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to define project scope, risks, and opportunities.Develop budgets from preliminary sketches, conceptual designs, and project specifications.Obtain, review, and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and industry partners.Participate in site visits, pre-tender meetings, and coordination meetings as required.Identify value engineering opportunities, cost-saving solutions, and risk mitigation strategies.Prepare bid packages, closing strategies, and supporting documentation for tender submissions.Assist with post-tender feedback, change orders, and lessons learned.Maintain and update estimating databases, historical cost data, and software tools.Provide guidance and support to project teams on estimating procedures and mechanical scope.What you must have:Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in industrial constructionStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and construction methods in Canada.Experience using estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost-tracking tools.Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and specifications.Bilingual (French & English) – MandatoryStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.Team-oriented, professional, and accountable, with excellent communication skills.Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with at least 3 days per week in the office.Salary/Rate Range: $130,000.00 – $135,000.00Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
