This is a new role and the individual will own the following responsibilities:Provide general administrative support within the national Indirect Tax GroupSupport our Workday processing including billings, collections and deposits, entering and applying payments, printing and mailing or emailing client invoicesCoordinate client acceptance, conflict checks, Workday customer and project setup, CaseWare setup and preparation of engagement letters, master service agreements and statements of workConduct and document related indirect tax researchCommunicate with the tax authorities to obtain information, complete registrations, validate information or answer their requests for informationPrepare GST/HST, QST, PST, payroll tax (e.g., EHT) and workers compensation returns as well as other taxes including working with client general ledger data to determine sales, tax collected, creditable tax and payroll amountsAssist with electronic and paper filing of returnsCommunicate with team members on various indirect tax mattersWork cooperatively and effectively with other staff members and partnersProvide additional administrative support, as requiredHow do we define success for your role?You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect, and CollaborationYou understand your clients' industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality workYou identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clientsYou share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains, and attracts talentYou actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplaceYou grow your expertise through learning and professional developmentYour experience and educationYou have a minimum of 3 years’ previous related experienceYou have strong written and verbal communications skillsYou are proficient with MS Office.
