Quality Assurance Analyst, Commercial Mortgage Operations

- Maintain current knowledge of CMLS’ commercial mortgage division’s policies, practices and compliance requirements;
- Review and analyze commercial mortgage file documents;
- Identify areas of opportunity and weakness from trends in quality assurance analysis;
- Make recommendations on best practices to improve internal processes and procedures;
- Produce accurate reports on findings and provide additional information to management on identified additional training needs;
- Work with management team to continually refine quality assurance guidelines and recommend changes to auditing process in response to changing business and risk management needs;
- Work with management team to implement process and internal control improvements;
- Deliver training support as needed;
- Support external audit and/or information requests related to operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in both English and French is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: quality assurance or audit, commercial funding, commercial loan servicing, loan documentation and compliance;
- University degree in a related field, with a professional designation preferred (ie CFA, CPA, etc);
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;
- Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are vital to the role;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that promote mutually beneficial, respectful and professional relationships;
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills are essential;
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and redirect tasks based on needs;
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail and quality in all areas of work;
- Advanced knowledge and user of MS Office, Excel in particular;
- An ability to operate independently with limited supervision and within a team.
