- Be a key internal instructor, consultant, and change agent responsible for cultivating a culture of psychological health and safety and well-being for staff and medical staff, as well as inclusive engagement across all levels of the organization.
- Champion both psychological safety and employee wellness, serve as an educator, facilitator, and strategist.
- Report to the program manager and work within the Psychological Health and Safety (PH&S) team, and in close collaboration with other People team partners and operational leadership, the Specialist develops and delivers evidence-based strategies, learning initiatives, and change frameworks that promote resilience, inclusion, and psychological safety in the workplace.
- Be central to driving organization-wide initiatives related to mental health promotion, trauma-informed practices, wellness program integration, and the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, Organizational Development, Health Promotion, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Psychological Health and Safety, Learning & Development, or Organizational Wellness in a large complex organization, including experience applying the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety and wellness program development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Recent related clinical professional experience considered an asset.
- Certification or advanced training in psychological health and safety, mental health, health promotion, organizational development, coaching, or trauma-informed practice would be an asset to this role.
- Work related travel requires a valid B.C. driver’s license and use of a vehicle.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and Indigenous lens.
- Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups.
- Fosters collaboration and effective working relationships with partners that promote cooperative goals and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with a focus on system transformation and meaningful engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and facilitate change as well as anticipated future change in service delivery and develop strategies that optimize resource to improve efficiency and quality of care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychosocial factors impacting personal well-being and organizational health, as outlined in the Standard.
- Demonstrated knowledge of organization development theory and applications.
- Demonstrated group facilitation skills in an organization development role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of leadership and team development.
- Physical and mental ability to perform the duties of the position.
