The Master Scheduler will create and maintain a comprehensive facility production schedule that adheres to specified KPI’s, providing updates on each job and maintaining an exceptional customer experience. This person will work closely with teams and/or departments to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.Location: Leduc, AB.Less than 10% travel requirement.Responsibilities:
  • Plan production schedules based on customer order requirements, working closely with purchasing and production teams, to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor capacity and initiate manufacturing outsourcing as needed while strictly adhering to expense control.
  • Perform planning to strategize equipment support and allocation to optimize capacity.
  • Monitor daily work order fulfillment in accordance to plan schedule and coordinate with facility management for any schedule deviations to ensure corrective action plans are taken immediately to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure parts/materials are received and documented accurately in WIP stages to ensure work orders remain on track within accuracy standards.
  • Communicate drawings and specifications and material requirements to subcontractors for the manufacturing outsourcing initiatives and to expedite with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Work with internal sales associated and customers, relaying job status and providing project timelines and schedules.
  • Highlight and address order risks and capitalize on change order opportunities.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate and implement programs and procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.
  • Attend and actively participate in Passgate meetings review the steps required for repair and provide feedback as to what will be necessary for a successful delivery.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in operations and production planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • ERP experience.
  • Advanced experience in Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point.
  • Experience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneously, managing work orders, executing due dates.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, assembly.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
  • BS or BA Degree in relevant field: Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management degree.
  • Experience in industrial pumps or O&G industry.
  • SAP experience.
  • APICS CPIM certification.
