- Compensation: $115,000 to $135,000 base salary + annual bonus
- Please note, this role will be hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site)
- Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 37.5 hours/week (with potential for extended hours during peak audit periods).
- Lead end-to-end credit risk audits across global portfolios, including planning, execution, and reporting
- Act as Officer in Charge (OIC) on audit engagements, with opportunity to act as Audit Principal on select audits
- Conduct audits across commercial banking, wholesale lending, and global/mid-market portfolios
- Assess credit risk frameworks, including origination, adjudication, monitoring, and financial analysis processes
- Develop risk-based audit plans and deliver actionable insights to strengthen internal controls and risk management practices
- Review audit workpapers to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with internal standards and IIA guidelines
- Identify root causes of control weaknesses and provide clear, practical recommendations to stakeholders
- Present audit findings and insights to senior management and executive stakeholders
- Support regulatory and compliance-related audits, including OSFI requirements
- Leverage data analytics and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Alteryx) to enhance audit effectiveness and insights
- Manage multiple audit projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Lead, coach, and develop junior team members
- Collaborate with global audit teams on cross-border and multi-functional audits
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk, audit, or risk management within a banking environment
- Strong experience in commercial banking or wholesale lending, including credit structuring and financial analysis
- Background in first line (credit adjudication), second line (risk oversight), or third line (internal audit)
- Proven ability to lead projects or audits end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks, policies, and regulatory environments (OSFI preferred)
- Experience working within a Canadian bank or global financial institution
- Proficiency in MS Excel, experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or audit tools (e.g., TeamMate) is an asset
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or MBA are considered an asset
- Spanish language skills are an asset
