- Preparing Construction Cost Estimate reports at all stages of design for Energy & Natural Resource & Mining projects. The estimates are industrial type work projects within Alberta and nationally as required.
- Produce estimates, taking ownership of them and presenting the final cost plan/estimate to the department lead.
- Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriate
- Ensuring that cost analysis, cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
- Participating on basic project and financial management responsibilities such as timesheets ,free tracking, invoice preparation etc.
- 3- 5 years' experience delivering pre-construction and post contract construction cost services
- A recognized University Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Membership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS); The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and/or Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE)
- Piping and or pipeline experience is an asset
- Fabrication & Module experience is an asset
- Experience of working in a consultancy or owner organization.
- Experience of working in the Canadian construction market.
- Experienced user of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of and experience using InEight & Aspentech software is an asset
