- Opportunity for skill development, certifications and continuing educationJob Description:In this role, you’ll put your skills into action by partnering directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar gas and diesel engines—both in the shop and out in the field—leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on. Your work will include:Field diagnosis and running repairsLargescale overhauls and rebuildsComponent replacementsCompleting required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communicationQualifications:Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Millwright and Automotive also accepted)Minimum 2 years experience as a Journeyman TechnicianCAT G3600 experience is essentialPrevious CAT general line experience including troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of CAT engine and powertrain components2 years experience on gas engines and compressors2 years experience operating a service truckMust be able to demonstrate basic computer skillsImportant Details:A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicableUnion Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
