Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Director, Business Discovery & Solutions will be a senior leader within RBC Investor Services, responsible for designing and delivering an exceptional client journey—spanning onboarding, servicing, reporting, and transformation initiatives. This role will act as a key interface between external client expectations and internal RBC processes, systems, and cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Technology and Client Design).You will drive initiatives that transform the client experience by aligning strategic priorities with operational and technological delivery, with an end-to-end ownership mindset. A strong understanding of institutional client needs, fund structures, custody services, and regulatory environments is required.What will you do?
  • Lead solutioning and continuous refinement of the end-to-end client experience—across onboarding, servicing, reporting, and change management.
  • Own and evolve specific client journey maps, personas, and service blueprints across asset servicing products.
  • Work closely with Digital and Product teams to align on client needs and strategic direction.
  • Act as business lead for initiatives by defining requirements and ensuring delivery aligned to client expectations.
  • Serve as the bridge between external client needs and RBC’s internal architecture.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Product, Operations, Data & Digital to align delivery roadmaps.
  • Partner with Relationship Management, Product and Ops to ensure client voice in decisions.
  • Lead or support client advisory groups and pilot initiatives.
  • Lead a team of client solution leads, initiative delivery managers or analysts as needed.
  • Oversee the client initiatives team responsible for project delivery and execution.
  • Build and outline standards & Target Operating Models across the different products & client segments.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Client Design , product, operations, and technology to validate and evolve the TOM.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
  • 10–15 years in Securities Services, Custody, or Asset Servicing, ideally with exposure to large global institutional clients.
  • Proven leadership in client journey solutioning, business transformation, or strategic initiative execution.
  • Strong understanding of Asset Manager’s operating models and institutional client needs.
  • Experience partnering with technology and operations for client-facing solution delivery.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate vision into actionable programs.

  • Understanding of Data Management & Governance, Data engineering and analytics
