Adecco is currently hiring Water & Wastewater Operators / Supervisors (Level 1+) for full-time opportunities based in Owen Sound, ON. This role is ideal for licensed and safety-focused professionals looking to contribute to the efficient operation of water and wastewater systems across Ontario.As a Water & Wastewater Operator / Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation and maintenance of treatment and distribution systems. You will be responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement across operations.Pay Rate: $26.00 - $40.00/hour (based on certification level)Location: Owen Sound, ONSchedule: Full-time, with on-call rotation (evenings, weekends, and holidays as required)Contract: PermanentVacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily operational and maintenance tasks including inspections, system monitoring, housekeeping, and preventative maintenanceOperate and maintain water treatment, wastewater treatment, and distribution systems across multiple facilitiesMonitor system performance and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and complianceTroubleshoot equipment and system issues independently and perform necessary repairsCollect, track, and manage water and wastewater samples in accordance with regulatory requirementsConduct in-house laboratory testing using appropriate tools and instrumentationInterpret technical documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, and SOPs to support operationsMaintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulationsSupport commissioning and startup activities for new facilities and systemsCommunicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and the publicEnsure compliance with all applicable legislation, approvals, and safety standardsParticipate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond to operational needs as requiredTravel between sites and work in varying weather and environmental conditionsPromote and maintain a safe work environment, including proper use of PPERequirementsValid Ontario Water and Wastewater Operator certifications (Level 1 or higher) in one or more of the following:
