For more information about Solenis, please visit .POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this role supervises the Quality department and provides technical support related to product chemistry, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. The position ensures compliance with GMP, ISO, Health Canada, FDA, and environmental standards while supporting plant operations in a team-based environment. This role serves as the backup to the QA Manager when required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure compliance with all Solenis safety, quality, and environmental requirementsSupervise QA staff, including scheduling, time-off management, and weekly payrollLead supplier and customer quality investigations, including NCRs, CAPAs, and complaint resolutionCoordinate product release activities and quality documentation to support timely shipmentConduct internal GMP and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 auditsMaintain quality procedures, training compliance, and regulatory alignmentManage QA laboratory needs, including purchase requisitions and testing readinessCoordinate and document equipment and process validationsPrepare quality data for Management Review and present QA updates at plant meetingsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives (5 Why, Kaizen, TPM)Support employee reviews, investigations, and disciplinary processesAdjust shifts and work overtime as needed to support business needsPerform other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related science
(or equivalent post-secondary education with Chemistry background)3+ years QA leadership or supervisory experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environmentProficiency with MS Office; SAP experience is an assetADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsSafety-focused, detail-oriented, and collaborativeAdaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with IR, UV/Vis, HPLC, and GC instrumentation (asset)Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as requiredWe understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification. The expected compensation range for this position is between $58,450.00 and 77,930.00 plus discretionary bonuses.
