- Represent clients in complex commercial and civil litigation cases, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and other team members to develop and execute litigation plans.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations to present arguments and negotiate resolutions.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Prepare for and engage in trial proceedings, including examination of witnesses and presentation of evidence.
- Stay current with legal developments and case law to enhance expertise and support client needs.
- Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and efficient handling of cases.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in all interactions.
- A minimum of one year of experience in litigation, with a focus on commercial and civil cases.
- Strong understanding of complex commercial litigation processes and strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address client needs.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and drafting techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present arguments effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A commitment to maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality legal services.
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
