- Completion of a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or closely related field is required.
- Certification in Lean manufacturing or related field.
- 10 years within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment with at least 5 years of Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Engineering experience.
- Proven experience implementing continuous improvement strategies on the shop floor, combined with the ability to explain in layman's terms to front line staff.
- Experience facilitating and implementing change management methodologies.
- Experience applying and coaching analytical methods to quantify process performance, identify waste, and validate the impact of improvement initiatives.
- Experience with waste reduction, standardized work, one-piece flow, just in time production, 5S, trying to keep WIP to a minimum, and inventory reduction.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
- Strong Project Management skills are required.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Experience with directing and delegating to cross-functional continuous improvement project team members.
- Experience with incorporating adult learning principles is an asset.

- This role will be based at Canadian Blood Services' 777 William Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba location and expected to have an in-person presence for at least 80% of the time/4 days of the week.
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours a day. Additional hours may be required depending on project requirements.
- Travel requirements (up to 20%) - travel will be required to attend meetings and project commitments.
