Your Role As Foreign Exchange (FX) Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Treasury Manager in supporting the currency hedge desk to manage grain business risks.Day to Day
  • Reconcile daily Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) statements
  • Prepare monthly journal entries related to FX and analyze impacts to P&L statements
  • Identify and disseminate FX exposures within grain related cash flows and positions
  • Communicate with Grain Merchants and Treasury Manager to analyze changes in currency positions
  • Compile, reconcile and report the daily Merchandising FX Inventory and AR –AP positions
  • Confirm, reconcile, and report daily and month-end bank forward settlements (within FXall)
  • Work on FX projects as required
  • Flexible working hours may be required
Qualifications
  • Accounting designation and/or relevant work experience
  • Grain accounting experience would be an asset
  • Experience or background in the grain and/or treasury industries would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to the team
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Application Suite
