Duties:
-The primary responsibility for the Receiver is to receive merchandise and materials from outside vendors.
-Other responsibilities include the handling, unpacking or uncrating merchandise or materials for routing to, or storage in, the proper department and for documenting damaged goods and/or shortages/overages.
-Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food)
-Keep records of incoming goods, check bills of lading or purchase orders on incoming shipments. -Sign for and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders, make appropriate adjustments, if necessary (i.e., over/short, damaged product, change in size), and notify department manager of discrepancies.
-Unload trucks and break down pallets that do not immediately fit in allotted reserve storage spots.
-Select orders for special store orders (i.e., add-ons), and stock product as needed.
-Spot check/scan the UPC (inner/outer) verification according to AS400.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma required, and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
-Strong communication skills (oral and written) and fluent in English.
-Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., Raymond Reach forklift, power jacks). -Proficiency in MS Office required. Computer skills (SAP experience) preferred. -Excellent customer service-oriented attitude
-Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
