The Service Advisor is the customer’s first point of contact with the Service Department. The Service Advisor’s primary responsibility is scheduling customers repairs, ensuring proper & timely communication throughout the repair and finalizing the repair order at job completion.The Service Advisor works closely with the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and Technicians to ensure customer satisfaction through communication and successful management of the repair.Duties and Responsibilities:· Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers· Book service appointments· Open and close work orders within the required time frame· Ensure all units have keys, manuals, and completed PDI paperwork· Handle incoming phone calls in a professional manner· Deal with customer issues, requests, questions and complaints in a timely manner· Work closely with the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and Technicians for smooth operations of the shop as per Company processes and guidelines· Accurately record customers’ equipment problems and repair requests· Keep customers updated regularly regarding ongoing repairs· Gain knowledge of warranty policies & practices· Participate in any technical or development training that is made available· Perform other duties as required by the Service Manager· Perform the role in a professional manner that aligns with the Company’s’ values and idealsQualifications:
- Previous Service Writer or Service Appointment Coordinator experience is an asset
