Job Title: Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer IVLocation: Edmonton or Calgary, AB (Hybrid)Our client is seeking a Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer IV to join their team. As a Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer IV, you will be part of the engineering department supporting renewable energy and utility-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Description:

Oversee engineering and design activities for oil & gas, solar, and wind projects across North America.
Lead technical reviews of engineering packages from EPC contractors, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Assess site surveys, geotechnical investigations, and civil/structural designs to identify risks and develop cost-effective solutions.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews, including electrical and control systems, to ensure project alignment.
Support permitting, regulatory approvals, and interconnection processes, ensuring all documentation meets requirements.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in civil/structural design and construction support, with at least 3 years in renewable energy projects.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/structural engineering.
Professional Engineer designation with APEGA or equivalent, or eligibility to register.
Deep understanding of civil design software, surveying, geotech, hydrology, and foundation design.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing project timelines and budgets.
