
Construction Technician

- Support the installation and removal of aboveground and underground tanks and piping systems across Atlantic Canada.
- Perform site improvements at gas stations, including concrete repairs, tank pad upgrades, and island maintenance such as replacing manhole grade rings and spill containers.
- Install, service, and repair petroleum handling equipment.
- Operate construction tools and equipment safely and effectively, including quick-cut saws, jackhammers with air compressors, and towing trailers, while adhering to road safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Leads to plan and execute site repairs and upgrades efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory standards and certification requirements for petroleum and allied petroleum storage tanks, as mandated by local authorities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and skill development.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction-related projects.
- Licensed tank installer certification is considered an asset (see acceptable licenses here:
- Willingness to travel, work on-call, and perform overtime as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-driven environment.
- Capable of following direction, working independently, and maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Proficient in the use of construction tools and equipment.
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks, including extended shifts and additional hours.
- Able to safely lift and carry a minimum of 60 lbs.
