- Independently perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare technical specifications and contribute to project documentation.
- Prepare structural analysis and calculation reports.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments to evaluate structure's conditions and provide recommendations.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations with little supervision.
- Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers, EIT's and technicians.
- Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering Six (6) years of experience as or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario in good standing.
- Holding security clearance or the ability to obtain secret level security clearance
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering after receiving the P.Eng., including leadership in design delivery.
- Experience in IPD (Integrated Project Delivery)
- Experience in structural design of industrial plants, commercial buildings, government facilities, municipal infrastructures, and transit stations.
- Proficiency in 3D structural analysis, modeling, and design software including but not limited to ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, RISA 3D, as well as other computer-aided design tools relevant to this role.
- Proven expertise in applying all major structural design codes and standards, including in-depth knowledge of NBC, OBC, and CSA S16, CSA A23.1, CSA A23.3, CSA S304, CSA O86, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
- Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.
- Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.

- Occasional business travel within Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes may be required.
