Position ID #: 33627Our client is seeking an Events Sales Leader to join their amazing venue. The right fit is someone who can be on site for tours which happen almost daily in the 4000+ person facility. Also, they are growing every year, and looking for future leaders.This full-time salaried role will likely pay between $60 and $70k, plus a lucrative commission plan. In this role you will bring your years of proven event sales (conferences, weddings, etc.) to the table and drive sales while providing exceptional client service throughout the event lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a proven sales exec (polished, proactive, and relationship-focused).
  • Execute a strategic sales plan, achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective and repeat clients
  • Work on site to meet with clients, interact with the team, and ensure timely data is entered into the CRM platform
  • Develop event plans, pricing, and proposals aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure execution of contracts and payments
  • Liaise with internal teams (culinary, operations, coordination) to ensure seamless event plans are in place
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales tools
  • Proven ability to sell a venue to the GTA community and beyone for conferences and other events.
  • Able to provide statistical data your sales success over the past 3 or more years.
  • During an on-site interview, show that you can establish a customer base both from your existing book of business, and by nurturing inbound leads
  • Experience with inbound and outbound sales, including cold calling and prospecting
  • Strong knowledge of event planning, food & beverage operations, and hospitality best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional presentation style
