- A degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
- Work experience at an industrial facility will be an asset.
- Ability to interpret environmental regulations, guidelines, and standards.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a desire to learn and innovate.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a team to successfully achieve strategic goals.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities with others.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly technical writing.
- Proficient use of various office-based software.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a desire to learn and innovate.
- Coordinate and complete activities related to the collection, assessment, and reporting of environmental monitoring data. This includes requirements associated with the divisions’ surface water, groundwater, soil, and air monitoring programs.
- Provide guidance and develop employee education on environmental standards and regulatory requirements.
- Complete routine audits to ensure environmental compliance and facilitate corrective actions as required.
- Support the preparation of various reports.
- Evaluate and improve environmental monitoring programs. This can include procedure updates, standard operating plan development, and/or equipment improvements.
- Coordinate and support contracted work as required.
- Based at the Athabasca division, travelling to High Prairie division when required.

- You’ll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
- You'll earn an additional payment on top of your base pay.
