Journeyman Electrician

- Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
- Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment
- Provides input into the planned and scheduled work and assists with the completion of the committed schedule.
- Assists with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.
- Ensures all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
- Ensures all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years' experience;
- Current and valid OSSA or OSHA approved certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent ability to read drawings and schematics
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
- Able to read drawings and blueprints
- Strong commitment to personal and team safety
- Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations
- Highly experienced with customer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus
- Abilities to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
- Basic PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook
- Professional communication skills, oral, and written
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
