Join a dynamic team focusing on new-construction and repair projects within the maritime industry. We are looking for a seasoned Naval Architecture professional to manage all phases of design projects, from initial requirements decomposition to final execution and close-out. This role requires an on-site presence in North Vancouver.What you will be doing:Provide engineering and design expertise in Naval Architecture and Structural Design, preparing and reviewing design/calculation packages.Mentor and provide oversight to junior engineers, designers, and subcontractors.Develop and review design documents for diverse vessel types, including fisheries, icebreaking, and naval replenishment vessels.Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective engineering solutions.Develop material specifications and bills of material.What you must have:Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture.10+ years of post-secondary experience in Naval Architecture and Structural Design.Professional Engineering designation in the Province of British Columbia.Expert knowledge of stability, weight, resistance, powering, and structural design calculations.Experience with a diverse project team and knowledge of ShipConstructor and ACAD software are preferred.Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.Salary/Rate Range: $116,000 – $144,000Other Information:This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term job stability within the maritime industry.
