Industrial Mechanic / MillwrightOur client in Calgary is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to join their team. A successful candidate will ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently while complying with all company policies and the applicable collective agreement. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working as part of the Maintenance Team in a unionized manufacturing environment, the individual is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding corrugated manufacturing equipment.Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild corrugated manufacturing machinery
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components
  • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in a timely manner
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
  • Participate in planned maintenance shutdowns, installations, and equipment upgrades
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with production, maintenance team members, and union representatives
  • Perform duties in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective agreement.
Your strengths include:
  • Valid Inter-Provincial Red Seal Millwright Certificate
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule of three 12 hour shifts
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Welding experience considered an asset
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
