Key Responsibilities:Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Maintenance

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, control, and analytical systems
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Troubleshoot and isolate faults using industry‑standard diagnostic techniques and equipment
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, logic diagrams, and blueprints

Control Systems & Automation

Support and maintain PLC and DCS systems (Siemens experience considered a strong asset)
Assist with loop tuning, calibration, testing, and commissioning activities
Use HART / TREX communicators, multimeters, meggers, pneumatic calibrators, and related tools

Safety, Compliance & Team Collaboration

Demonstrate a strong commitment to EH&S, regulatory compliance, and safe work practices
Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and incident investigations as required
Interface effectively with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and external technical support teams
Provide technical support during turnarounds, outages, and plant upsets

Continuous Improvement & Documentation

Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using SAP
Contribute to plant reliability, asset integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support training or technical assistance at other Canadian or U.S. facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

Dual Ticket Certification:

Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician and
Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal required)
Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving record
Ability and willingness to work on‑call and overtime in a 24/7 operation

Preferred Experience & Skills

Industrial plant maintenance experience (petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing environment preferred)
Experience with Siemens DCS/PLC systems or other distributed control systems
Strong understanding of PLC logic and industrial automation
Proven troubleshooting, fault isolation, and problem‑solving capabilities
Proficiency using SAP PM, Microsoft Office, and industrial maintenance systems
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary maintenance team
Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and safety‑focused mindset

Working Conditions

Continuous process manufacturing environment
Exposure to plant operating conditions requiring appropriate PPE
Occasional travel to other Canadian or U.S. sites for training or operational support
