Let us know how you can be part of our team and our culture.Additional information about Drexel can be found at Drexel.ca.Job DescriptionReporting to the VP of Operations, the Operations Manager will be mainly responsible for monitoring and managing the operational policy and processes, certifications, and profitability at our Wilton Grove facility. The Operations Manager will oversee all daily results and performances, develop and implement process change and improvement as required. Analyzing data and customer requirements, strive for continuous improvement, optimization, and customer satisfaction in all areas.Main Accountability per EOS:
  • Process Change and Development
  • Facility Invoicing & Profitability
  • Facility Certification & Compliance
  • Customer management and satisfaction (CPFR, business review, onboarding, reporting, etc.)
Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage all operations and activities at the warehouse each day. Coordinate resources, determine priorities, and communicate effectively with team and customers.
  • Ensure all processes, SLA, and KPIs are documented, trained on, and adhered to.
  • Develop and maintain company certifications, ensuring compliance: Goods Distribution Practices (GDP), HACCP, TDG, CTPAT, PMRA, and 6S, among others.
  • Monitor and achieve facility budgetary, billing, and profitability targets.
  • Lead and facilitate the facility and company's Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop staff, teams, supervisors, etc. Foster an environment of excellence and strong teamwork. Manage facility HR issues in conjunction with the HR department.
  • Run effective meetings, and provide reporting and analytics to senior management as required.
  • Other duties as required.
QualificationsWhat we are looking for:
  • Post Secondary Education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven Process Development and Change Pedigree.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Policy, Certification and Process, specifically Food and Dangerous Goods Distribution, Warehousing, and Handling.
  • Strong document writing, reporting and analytical abilities
  • Strong customer service abilities, with proven experience.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Experience operating supply chain software (WMS, ERP, EDI, etc.), preferably Extensiv (3PL central) and Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Training experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong business and operational acumen particularly within 3rd party logistics
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and leadership
