Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat you’ll be doingThe Risk Data Initiatives team is responsible for developing and executing initiatives that integrate data governance, quality assurance, and analytics, ensuring that high-quality data is readily available to support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance across the Enterprise Risk Management organization.Reporting to the Director, Risk Data Initiative, Risk Data Management Office, the Senior Consultant is responsible for supporting project delivery of strategic risk data initiatives, helping ensure that each initiative supports informed decision-making and regulatory compliance. This includes the application of robust system implementation, and general data controls, governance & oversight. The Senior Consultant will engage with enterprise stakeholders including the Enterprise Data and Records Management Office, Canadian Banking, Treasury, Capital Markets, Technology & Operations, and Internal Audit.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeedProject delivery - You will support the execution of risk data initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements by contributing to scope definition and collaborating with stakeholders. Additionally, guide technology support, manage risks, and offer subject matter expertise to facilitate informed decision-making.Data governance - You will implement and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance while supporting data governance activities across Risk Management in alignment with the Enterprise framework. You will engage with the Enterprise data governance community to promote consistency, transparency, and execution excellence, including the preparation of relevant presentation materials and documentation.Build relationships - You will cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders by actively engaging in open communication, demonstrating empathy, and fostering a supportive environment.Who you areYou possess good practical and theoretical knowledge in data management and data governance, enabling recognition as a subject matter expert across the Risk Management teams. This expertise allows for resolution of complex problems, provision of technical guidance on unique issues, support to specialized programs, and assessment of the impact and feasibility of proposed changes and recommendations.You have experience leading and/or supporting end to end projects.Your influence makes a difference.
