Brief Description:Our employer is an innovative Jewish Day School.They are looking for someone with a knack for storytelling, a creative communicator who enjoys both producing content and thinking about how to make it better.This individual will be responsible for executing and supporting marketing and communications efforts across the school. This role plays a key part in strengthening visibility, supporting enrollment, and building community engagement by sharing the Organization's story in a clear, consistent, and compelling way. You will work closely with the Director of Admissions & Marketing and the Director of Development & Community Engagement, contributing both day-to-day execution and thoughtful input on how to strengthen our marketing efforts. This is a full-time, in-person role based at the school.Job Function:
  • Plan, create, and manage content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), including posts, reels, and stories
  • Capture and edit photos and short-form video of daily school life, events, and key initiatives
  • Write, design, and distribute communications, including newsletters, announcements, event materials, and internal documents
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers, advertisements, and digital assets
  • Maintain and update website content using WordPress
  • Organize and manage digital assets (photos, videos, design files)
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns related to enrollment, events, and community initiatives
  • Track and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and growth
  • Review, edit, and format communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency
  • Respond to internal communications and design requests and manage workflow effectively
  • Contribute to key school projects, including the annual calendar and Grade 8 yearbook
Additional Expectations
  • Participate in both in-school and off-site activities, some of which may take place outside regular working hours
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Admissions, Development, and other departments

Job Requirement:Hard Skills
  • Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English at a professional level
  • Experience planning and managing social media content calendars, including scheduling/publishing via Hootsuite or similar tools
  • Experience creating engaging social media content and analyzing performance to inform improvements
  • Experience with photography, videography, and editing tools
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience updating and managing websites using WordPress
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based tools
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media
