We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.Job SummaryTYLin is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for our Montreal location. The Senior Bridge Engineer provides technical support to project managers. The primary scope of this role is to develop bridge and structural designs for local agencies and design-build projects, deliver projects on time, on budget and of high quality. The role may also involve supporting aspects of project management. The role may also involve managing junior and intermediate engineers as the team grows.Responsibilities & QualificationsPerform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures. Experience with long-span bridges is an asset.Develop designs through all phases of design, from preliminary to detailed design.Develop and manage the preparation of bid packages for bridges.Interface with civil engineers for the development of complete project plans and specifications.Develop special technical provisions to accompany construction drawings.Develop quantity schedules and projected construction costs based on scope of work, plan, specifications and estimates.Coordinate and review the work of other engineers and designers.Provide support to project managers and/or manage smaller projects and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.Interface with customers for project delivery as required.Contribute to the preparation of proposals for bridge design projects, as required.Any other related duties.QualificationsMaster's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.A Professional Engineer's License in Quebec (OIQ) is required.A minimum of 8 years professional experience is required.Working knowledge of design codes such as CAN/CSA S6, AASHTO, ACI, CISC, MTQ (Tomes, Manuals, CCDG), etc.Bilingualism in English and French preferred.Experience in managing small bridge projects.Experience working on and managing MTQ or similar public agency projects.Experience in proposal writing and business development activities is an asset.Customer focus, always striving to give customers the best solutions.Strong commitment to innovation, creating new and better ways to solve customers' toughest challenges.High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing ethically, fairly and sustainably.Demonstrated experience collaborating as part of a diverse and inclusive team, working together towards technical excellence.Additional Information#LI-HYBRIDTYLin offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
