Explore with us-your journey starts here.What You'll DoReporting to the Marketing Coordinator, the Marketing & Outreach Assistant Student provides marketing support through the planning and execution of promotional outreach activities at busy sites and events throughout local communities. The student will set-up and attend events and attractions and will research and create a distribution plan for display materials at local businesses across Bruce County. The incumbent will become familiar with the Museum's exhibits and programs to promote and market. Through social media activities, the Marketing/Outreach Assistant Student will raise awareness, engagement and drive interest in the Museum. In addition, the incumbent will assist with special events and duties onsite.Contract Duration: 11 weeks, June to August 2026What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
Current enrollment as a student in a post-secondary study for marketing, public relations, heritage/museum, hospitality or tourism
Skills & Abilities
Previous experience planning and facilitating marketing materials and outreach opportunities
Understanding of the standard Microsoft Office suite and be proficient with a digital camera, email and social networking applications
Proven time management and project resource management skills
Proven good writing communication skills
Strong professional, pleasant and out-going social skills
Ability to edit materials and pay close attention to detail
Valid Class G Driver's License
Criminal Record Check (with possibility of a Vulnerable Sector)
