
Water/Wastewater Planning Technologist

- Three (3) year College Diploma in Civil or Environmental Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Position Equivalency Code: D
- Four (4) years of experience performing duties related to the major responsibilities of the position
- General knowledge of the following legislation, regulations, or requirements: Sanitary Sewage Collection System Policies and Design Guidelines (MECP); Storm Drainage and Storm Water Management Policies and Design Guidelines (MECP); Municipal Class Environmental Assessment; Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act
- Working knowledge of the following principles and standards: Stormwater Management and Drainage Design, including modelling; Mapping and GIS; Wastewater Collection System Design and Operation; Water System Design and Operation.
- Demonstrated ability to:

- Intermediate computer literacy using the following systems and software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), ARCGIS
- Availability to accommodate deadlines or peak period workloads that may extend beyond designated normal workday hours or normal hours per week
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence in good standing
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check*
- Pay Level: Level 6
- Yearly Salary: $63,991.20 to $76,694.80
- Hourly Pay Rate: $35.16 to $42.14
